Just found out that the farm we are on for Pigs Ear fest is the home of this brewery.

Didn't plan it - honest. Signing off to look around - must be in one of these farm buildings somewhere.

Must admit I had to look it up in the GBG. However, any brewery that produces a beer called Mrs. Lovett's Most Efficacious Stout Porter can't be all bad! Let us know what you think of their beers Gill.

They have a beer called Gog Magog which I've seen quite a lot lately and a very nice pint it is too. Sounds like your London trip is off to a flyer...!

Found the brewery. It is 1 minute from my caravan door if I walk slowly. It is a unit on a farm though, and no-one there. I have left a message on their answerphone about a tour round as it will be a shame to be this close and not get to see round, no matter how small. We don't leave here till Thursday so fingers crossed.

I have had their Springheeled Jack Porter and London Stone, one of them at last year's Pigs Ear fest, and there are 3 at this year's fest, including Mrs Loveatt's........Stout.

According to the GBG, Halfpenny was founded in 2008 and Ha'penny 2009. They must have been aware of the similarity, so why go with it? Bizarre.

There's also Sixpenny in Dorset as well, although it is under Wayland's Sixpenny in the 2011 beer guide.

Just continuing the monetary theme.

We didn't get to the brewery. It is possible the delivery they were coming to see to this morning was delayed due to the snow, so we went back to Pigs Ear fest and had another good day there, including trying Ha'penny London Particular Ruby Ale 5.0% which will be my BOTW this week so far.
