Manchester/Salford

There are many pubs listed as in Manchester, which are really within the neighbouring city of Salford (and up to 7 miles from the Manchester city centre), and some even in the Wigan area.

Hi Spinko,

Originally the site was done purely on the basis of Postal towns (I can find some threads on the forum if you want some more background) and then we evolved the system of showing outlying areas which are all the sub-areas shown below towns. We have a new development on this coming up at some point as well, but that is another issue.

Anyway, all that is just my excuses before saying that a lot of places are still attached to the postal towns where we have no idea that the pubs belong elsewhere, so if you want anything moved just tell us here. Dave and me are in Bristol and neither really knows Manchester (sorry), so we are quite happy to be told by people who know better how to improve it.
