Hi Conrad
I car'nt find the Bridge inn in Stockport town centre on the Post code finder.
This was a medium sized stand alone Robinsons tied house it was on chestergate but not the town side.
There is also a Bridge Inn on georges road but that is different to this one.
I hope you and the rest of the forum regulars can hepl me with this.
Thanks Alan.
Hmm not sure.
We have a pub called The Chestergate (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/59168/), could Bridge Inn be an old/new name? SK1 1NP is the postcode for that one if it is a close enough location.

I think the Bridge Inn was at 177 Chestergate. Sadly it's now Weatherseal Windows.
Royal Mail are saying Weatherseal is 211, postcode for that would be SK3 0AN.
Thanks for that and the other find ROB

Hi Conrad the Chestergate is still there and has always been called this as far as i can remember but thanks for your help.
Robs address 177 chestergate is slightly wrong as i checked and wetherseals address is 211 chestergate.
I will put the pub on under the SK3 0AN post code and maybe Rob can have a look at it and come up with some more information on this pub.
I will attempt to mark this pub as closed when putting it on PG.
Thanks Alan.
