Ratebeer places have a list.of the best craft beer places for both countries and are usually reliable but check if the reviews are recent as bars tend to come and go.I

Yeah Ratebeer is my usual stop but it's becoming pretty sparse these days in terms of reviews and doesn't keep up with new openings.

I think this has been proposed a couple of times over the years. I got as far as reviewing some bars in Charente (http://forums.pubsgalore.co.uk/showthread.php?13592-Pubs-in-Charente-area-France&highlight=angouleme), the area of France where one of my brothers lives. Shocked to find I started that thread more than 10 years ago!
