What is a gay beer?

Brodies seem to know as they have produced Brokeback Bitter and Dorothy's Friend (both probably rebadged for a recent gay beer festival in Soho) along with Pink Pride and Ginger Beer - Not sure this last one is directed at the gay scene, but you never know.

Is there a difference between gay and straight beers? Is one more fruity than the other? (sorry, couldn't resist )

Blimey, I took a turn there.....

I read Strongers question as 'What Makes a Gay Bear ?' and thought either I've logged onto the wrong forum or Strongers has inadvertently posted on the wrong one...;)

Anyway, if you have seen the film 'In Bruges' then apparently Belgium beers are Gay beers...

And you can drink it here, although it's not a gay bar. :p

It isn't, but you have old that goes something like: 'that's a bit ginger beer' - I.E., it rhymes with queer.

If we assume that The Polished Knob is for the posh end of the gay scene then this must be the lower end of the scale
