Wrong photo

I have just put a photo of the Bankers Draught in Sheffield city centre and noticed there is a photo of a Bankers Draught but not the Sheffield one.

I dont know where this photo belongs it would be interesting to find out where this pub is.:drinkup:

I presume you mean the February 2008 photo showing a modern(ish) facade, but it is certainly not the one in Bedford or that in Eltham

After some debate in the office, the complete failure of Streetview to clarify the situation, and eventually resorting to Bing maps aerial view, we have convinced ourselves it is actually the back of the pub.

If you look at the tree, then the building behind it, you can see the window pattern is the same as the windows above the pub. Not sure about the intervening courtyard, but it certainly looks like the same place.

Thanks for that Conrad the back looks the same as the photo but there seems to a large gap in between the front building and the back building.
But i would like to bet you are right about this.

After I posted we actually got a little bit more meticulous (possibly read anally retentive) about it. If you look at the reflections in the windows of the photo it corresponds with the opposite side of the square in the aerial photo. That gap is interesting though, one of the more interesting demonstrations of how deceptive some of the information can be.

The photo is indeed the back of the Bankers Draft on Hartshead Square.

The pub goes back a lot further than you'd think.

Looking at the photo the Dove And Rainbow is on the right and a car park on the left.

I haven't been to either of those pubs since... oh yes the end of June. ;)
