Odmorden is a slip of the fingers, but anyone who knows Todmorden will also know it may well have been a Freudian slip. ;)

I have now confirmed Todmorden Beer Festival dates with the cricket club.

24th & 25th September with a drinking up session on the 26th if there's any left.

We'll be going along on the Saturday afternoon as usual about 1 p.m.

Anyone else up for joining us this year?

Hopeing to, work permitting. Yesterday's two pub ones I went to weren't very good.

Should be there all being well. Will try and drag the 'trouble and strife' along.

12:03 at Tod' station - Northern Rail and a possible stop at Sowerby Bridge permitting, giving me lots of time to find the Cricket Club, any pub crawl planned? :bemerry: (I think that's me on the right!)

Out of the station, down the hill to your left, turn left pass the bus station & under the viaduct. It's < a ten minute walk.

Last time we called at the Golden Lion & the Queen, but it's rumoured that the Black Swan is reopen and selling the real stuff.

Plus I thought we may pop up to Barearts. No draught beer, but a large choice of their own brewed beer in bottle and it is quirky (and very pink!!)

It's also an art gallery specialising in nudes, hence BareArts. :o

I suppose there could be another private art gallery somewhere with it's own brewery, but I'm not holding my breath.

Hi ROB & 'ob'.

One o'clock it is then. Looking forward to it. Be nice if the decent weather held to the w/e.

We've been to Tod fest for the last 9 years (don't know how we missed the first one) and it's always been sunny. Here's hoping it continues.

We've been to Tod fest for the last 9 years ... and it's always been sunny.

That sounds like the kiss of death then. :D

BBC weather says "Grey Cloud, max 11C" but as this is a beeb forecast you never know, so it could go either way by then.

Ahhh! but Todmorden actually has its own weather and eco system. You can't rely on outside agencies. :p
