2 - Tea or Coffee - Coffee

4 - James Bond - Connery or Moore - Connery
5 - KFC or McDonalds - Neither they're both vile.

7 - Stallone or Schwarzenegger - Neither, both are twats

10 - Coast or Country - Country

I'm going to expand on the Stones vs Beatles. The Stones were a few years behind the Beatles and started as a cover band of R & B, early rock and blues. IMO it wasn't until the late 60s that they really got their act together. One of the pirate radio stations (Radio City) did a programme called 5 by 4 with alternate tracks which allowed you to forget your allegiance!

Stones - More rock and roll for me
Tea - can't function without tea in the morning
Bacon - well done
Connery - More edge to him
KFC - Both poor but boycotted Macs over 30 years ago and not been since
Star Trek - Original for nostalgia, next generation for quality!
Stallone - Rocky and Rambo edge it for me over Terminator and predator
Chinese - No question!
Brown - Red sauce is for women and kids!
Coast - love the sea, hope to retire to the coast. That's the big problem with living in the midlands - too far from the coast.

1. I never much liked the Stones singles (except Not Fade Away) and I loved the Beatles, but in my teens I began to like the Stones, especially some of their albums. Don't know their later albums though (Exile on Main Street onwards). So probably Beatles on balance.
2. I used to be very much a tea person, but I bought a Bialetti at Aldi a few weeks ago and I've been doing a lot of coffee lately.
3. I'm a vegetarian
4. Never watched the whole of a James Bond movie.
5. See 3
6. Never watched Star Wars, and although I watched Star Trek in the 60s, it was pretty naff, wasn't it.
7. You've got to be kidding.
8. Indian is more likely to be veggie, but I do like Chinese from time to time.
9. Don't recognise the categories.
10. When do the easy questions begin?

1 - Beatles but neither are preference.
2 - Coffee but I don't drink it/either, Lime Juice FTW.
3 - Sausage
4 - Moore I think due to age.
5 - McDonalds
6 - Neither both shit.
7 - Schwarzenegger, just watched Running Man, now on Commando, Predator next.
8 - Chinese Chicken Chow Mein all day long.
9 - Red Sauce
10 - Coast or Country, if there's a pub it doesn't matter. Prefer Coast as sea is mesmerising.

1 - Stones or Beatles: Not a massive fan of either, but probably The Beatles as I like the more experimental stuff like "Tomorrow Never Knows"
2 - Tea or Coffee: Not bothered with hot drinks really, but tea at a push
3 - Breakfast sandwich - Bacon or Sausage: Bacon
4 - James Bond - Connery or Moore: Connery
5 - KFC or McDonalds: Not a massive fast food fan; only ever really bother with McDonald's 'Tastes of the...' promotions
6 - Star Trek or Star Wars: Star Wars, but not in the quoting dialogue from the films sense
7 - Stallone or Schwarzenegger: Schwarzenegger, but to be fair, they both just play themselves in any movie they appear in
8 - Takeaway - Chinese or Indian: Again, not to fussed with either, but Indian probably shades it
9 - Brown Sauce or Red Sauce: Brown all the way
10 - Coast or Country: Coast. I live inland, and although I love the countryside, I don't 'alf love the brief encounters I have with the seaside

1. Beatles, I suppose.

Yeah. I'm not sure that technically Red Sauce is ketchup. I think it's thickeners, saccharin, salt and vinegar without a tomato in sight.

Is there an M&S gourmet version? or perhaps a pretentious chef version? Hello Heston, what's that duck's blood for mate?

I know the condescending looks of waiters in pretentious places when someone asks for the stuff, generally they put it in a twee little pot: asking for "salad cream" (mayonnaise with extra vinegar & sugar plus some E numbers) is worse - it can cause apoplexy, worth doing just for the reaction I think

I thought Tris meant that "Red Sauce" in the context of the 10 Not-so-easy-as-you-thought Questions didn't refer to Tomato Ketchup, but to something else. Something with nothing but the colour to suggest any association with tomatoes. However, maybe I am wrong - maybe he is Blackadder and quite possibly you are wearing what you said etc.

I could well have lost the plot. Where's me beer got to? Ah, there it is.

I think post #21 explains all given the quote contained therein, and furthermore I suspect you are actually Lady Whiteadder in disguise !

2. Tea

You might want to stock up. Apparently there may be a tea shortage due to Indian plantation pickers being in quarantine - probably won't effect the plantations nestled in the Yorkshire dales though...;)

I've bought a few boxes over several days and all from different shops, each stocked to the gunwales so as not to be selfish.

Italian olive oil too, if you buy the stuff.

1 - Beatles, far more quality and breadth.
2 - Coffee for the morning, non-caff teas in the afternoon.
3 - Breakfast sandwich - Bacon or Sausage, either will do me
4 - James Bond - Connery, easy win.
5 - NEITHER! Not set foot in them for 20 years or so, bar a desperation Fillet o' Fish at Feltham a few years back when I missed the train.
6 - Either is fine.
7 - Schwarzenegger, easily.
8 - Takeaway - Indian. I don't really get the love-in for Chinese food, most of it tastes rather bland to me.
9 - Depends on the situation! In Scotland, you must only ever have broon.
10 - Coast, backed by rolling countryside.
