Kent,Surrey.

Iron Pier-Perry Street Pale:3.7%abv.Aneamic-looking as my neighbouring quaffer said, but some good spicy and muted lemon flavours.
Surrey Hills-Ranmore Ale:Pale gold,grapefruit.Assertive,metallic finish.

My BOTW-Iron Pier Perry Street Pale, taken, unsurprisingly at Larkins' Alehouse (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/85780/)

Next week, a visit to The Ram Inn (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/11012/) has the potential for some Burningsky beers.

Quiet week with three quality stalwarts:

Oakham Bishops Farewell*
Adnams Ghost Ship*
Hop Back Summer Lightening*

All on good form but BOTW Hop Back Summer Lightening just shades it.

Two piss-ups in breweries this week followed by a crawl of the northern part of Leeds city centre,

Toolmakers - Lynch Pin
Toolmakers - Black Edge
Toolmakers - Slide Hammer
Thornbridge - Green Mountain (keykeg)
Nethergate - Umble
Bad Seed - Cake Hole
Nomadic - Sister Dris
Nomadic - Ivor
Five Points - Railway Porter
Red Willow - Breakfast Stout
Brewdog - Tsar Struck (keg)
Nightjar - Big fish little fish
De Molen - Gekken & Dwazen BA (Bottle)

Other than the De Molen which was also the most expensive beer of the week the draught BOTW is Toolmakers - Lynch Pin almost a classic bitter.

Hertford,Gospel Oak,Potters Bar and Mugswell.

Exeter -- Falls Over
Adnams -- Mosaic Pale (keg)
Howling Hops -- Pale XX * (3PT)
Marble -- Pint *
Five Points -- XPA *
Kelham Island -- Pale Rider *
Surrey Hills -- Shere Drop *

A very good run of some top quality ale ,so a difficult choice with BOTW going to Surrey Hills Shere Drop ,NBSS 4.5 in The Well House Inn (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/35502/).I can now see how this ale got to be CAMRA CBOB when this well presented.

Next week footie will be the main provider.

I went for a Sunday Roast in the local Bell yesterday and managed to sneak in a couple of pints afterwards :-

Burton Bridge Mild 4.0%
Kent Black Gold 4.0%

Both were excellent and discounted to £3.60. The Burton Bridge is a proper mild, maybe a bit strong for the purist. The Black Gold isn't a mild. I suspect it's a golden ale with burnt malt added to give it the colour. It was more refreshing than the mild so wins it.
