As someone whose background is in Electronics, I am a member of the IET (Institution of Engineering and technology) and subscribe to their monthly magazine.

Usually these are full of fairly dry articles on the latest technology breakthroughs or development trends in industries like communications, automotive, power management e.t.c. which would only be of interest to geeks or people in that industry.

So it was quite a pleasant surprise to find in this months mag, where the theme was energy conservation and management, an article or brewing and an article on Whisky distillation.

The Brewing article is quite interesting and focusses on Adnams and the energy efficiencies that they have been working on in their brewing process.

Where as the whisky article is based on the Bunnahabhain distillery on the Isle of Islay and is just a description of the Whisky making process as far as I can see, so was probably a jolly for the sub editor or something he knocked off whilst on holiday.

Anyway, thought I'd just flag them here as I'm sure most PuG contributors will not have IET publications in their must read lists.

I'm expecting it to be the guest publication on "Have I Got News For You" some time soon though. :D
