Oakham -maelstrom was best beer this week and was meant to be my last pint of the night but was so good I had three.Stopped when I realised I was bouncing off the doorframes as I tried to get to the toilets.

Limited:

Brunswick Meach Pelba*
Purity Longhorn IPA (keg)*
Oakham Bishops Farewell*

All were excellent and whistled down during a warm week. BOTW was Brunswick Meach Pelba a 5.3% IPA with hints of peach and raspberry which gave a refreshing background flavour rather than overwhelming. Flew easily through the 3 pint test on a lovely sunny afternoon.

Not a bad week, with about half a dozen new ones tried.

Ainsty - Pale.
Milestone - Raspberry Wheat.
Horbury - Tiramisu.*
Nomadic - Elysium.
Henry Smith - Session IPA.

Empire - Plum Porter.
Thornbridge - Astryd.*
Great Heck - Dave.

Astryd is really growing on me. Great flavour for a 3.8% beer. Taken in Harry's Bar (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/60167/), Wakefield.

A visit to the Llanbedr Festival in deepest Wales gave this :-

Facer's Mountain Mild 3.3%
Brecon Dark Beacons 3.8%
Facer's Abbey Blonde 4.0%
Skinners Lushingtons 4.2%
Dovecote Dove From Above 4.2%
Timothy Taylor Knowle Spring 4.2%
Sadler's Peaky Blinder Pale 4.3%
Heart Of Wales Boggled 4.5%
Monty's Masquerade 4.6%
Hook Norton Old Hooky 4.6%
Facer's Landslide 4.9%
Dovecote Woodpigeon 5.0%
Cader Cwrw Citra 5.0%
Dovecote Headgear 5.1%
Monty's Dark Secret 5.6%
Dovecote Vienna 6.4%
Heart Of Wales Inn Stable 6.8%

Sadly it was warmer than average weather so some of the beers were not as good as they could be. The two strongest ones probably needed a full week to settle. Yhe best one for me was the Dovecote Headgear a decent porter that eas in reasonably good condition.
