A very quiet week after last week;

Thornbridge - Tropical Swan
Tapped - Station Porter
Brew York - Tonkoko
Bad Seed - Judgement Hill
Salt - Bonneville
Thornbridge - Jaipur
Acorn - Gorlovka

Actually an easy choice in spite of several big hitters, BOTW Brew York - Tonkoko

Quiet week ,Harlow and Fitzrovia.

Mc Mullens -- Harvest Gold
Mc Mullens -- AK
Siren -- Suspended in Summer *
St Austell -- Tribute
Truman's -- Scorcher
Pheasantry -- Golden Turtle

Only one interesting beer so BOTW goes to Siren Suspended in Summer in good nick in The Queen Charlotte (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/53678/).

Next week boating stops in Bodymoor Heath and Atherstone mostly along the Anker Valley ,a gift to graffiti artists .

Moderate week featuring some old faves:

Everards Tiger
Abbeydale Moonshine*
Oakham Bishops Farewell*
Blue Monkey Infinity*

BOTW Blue Monkey Infinity. Splendid and led me to conclude that not nearly enough Blue Monkey beer finds its way down my screech.

A few days in Wolverhampton where the rare occurrence of below par guest pints in the Great Western happened. Nothing was bad enough to send back but I wondered if someone was on holiday.

Titanic Classic Mild 3.5%
Holden's Black Country Mild 3.7%
Holden's Black Country Bitter 3.9%
Sadler's Peaky Blinder Pale 4.3%
Titanic Stout 4.5%
Blindman's Icarus 4.5%
Castle Rock Elsie Mo 4.7%
Holden's Special 5.1%
Kelham Island Pale Rider 5.2%
Brewdog Punk IPA (keg) 5.4%
Oakham Green Devil 6.0%
Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby Mild 6.0%

The winner is the Kelham Island Pale Rider (£3.40) which was one GW guest in first class nick. I seem to have nominated this a few times this year.

Localish and Reading (which is fairly localish)

Southwark Mango IPA
Cross Bay Omega
Flowerpots Perridge Pale
Flowerpots Goodens Gold
Clearwater Riff IPA
BrewDog Zombie Cake
Elusive Spectrum
71 Brewing Pale and Significant
Kirksall Single Hop Mosaic
Vibrant Forest Rubus
Amundsen Apocalyptic Thunder
Wantsum Amarillo
Three Castles Sand Castles
Revolutions Switch #16
Revolutions Chocolate Fudge Milk Stout
Ascot Mango Milkshake IPA
Thornbridge Jaipur IPA (Bottle)

I expected BOTW to come from the Nags (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/1691/) but have to go with the Chocolate Fudge Milk Stout , yet again The Alfred (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/35750/) comes up trumps.
Working all next weekend so expecting a shorter list but a trip on Tuesday evening to The Wonston Arms (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/14200/) should provide some decent beer.

A very frustrating week, with just the three sampled.

Marble - Pint.
Kirkstall - Black Band Porter.
Abbeydale - Heathen.

No obvious winner, so I'll give it to the Pint, as the other two weren't in great condition. Sampled in Friends of Ham (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/77983/), Leeds

Can I assume you are driving to this pub as I've had a quick look on Google maps and can't see any bus stops near enough for me?

There are buses from Winchester to Sutton Scotney, then about a 3/4 mile walk, maybe too much for your knees?

Thanks, yes I would have done it five years ago but not now. The same applies to other famous venues.
