Shere Drop and Citra for me,both taken in 2013 and not since for some reason,though both enjoyed in bottled format since. I marginally preferred the Shere at the time.

I get Shere Drop and Citra on a fairly regular basis, bit surprised with Shere Drops success though it is a decent drop,Oakham citra is heavenly but never had the Grey Trees before today , fittingly at Olympia, It was OK but only a 6/10 for me.

I'm not sure if I've actually tried Shere Drop but I know the name. Church End have done well again and their Gravediggers Mild is a lot better than the Goats Milk. I wonder if any were unfined?

At the GBBF tasting tonight, the Grey Trees Afghan Pale won the participants' vote (including mine), although Roger Protz went for the Lacons Audit Ale, but the Shere Drop is certainly a decent beer of its type.

Maggs Mild is a very good Mild and by far the best thing they do, agree with everything else you say here.

I think it should be Afghan Pale rather than pride
The best mild I have tasted and have drank it on many occasions is Maggs Magnificent Mild although they have now dropped the Magnificent from its name.If you see it try it.

Shocked to see Salopian -Darwins original on that list.Tried it (again) two weeks ago and found it pretty bland.

I've tried seven off the list:

Salopian- Darwin's Origin.
Five Points - Pale.
Ulverston - Laughing Gravy.
Vocation - Heart & Soul.
Bingham - Vanilla Stout.
Fernandes - Malt Shovel Mild.
Oakham - Citra.

I'm lucky enough to drink the latter two pretty regularly. The Citra is on permanently at the Black Rock, Wakefield and the MSM is regularly rotated at the Fernandes Tap. It's definitely one of my favourite milds. I'm pleased for brewer Steve Hutchinson, who got a bronze back in 2013, before getting the silver this year.
