Not everyones cup of tea, but if you are looking to waste 10 minutes on the Internet, this game (http://www.kongregate.com/games/Badim/doodle-god) is providing us with some amusement.

You start with the 4 elements and just keep mixing them to see what you get gradually getting more complicated concepts.

Try mixing the alcohol with earth, that should be close enough.

Water + Fire for the alcohol, Mix the Alcohol with Water for the Vodka. Now you just need a human to mix those with :)

I am definitely getting the impression that we need the beer version of this game.

Pretty addictive, just given up when I hit 100/115 elements and all 14 groups before it drove me mad. Almost gave up at 86 when I discovered Beer although I’d got to Alcoholic a lot earlier. No surprise that Alcohol and Sex don’t mix. Biggest disappointment was mixing a Bird with Fire hoping to get KFC as I was a bit peckish.

I have the iphone version, currently running at 116/140 and all 15 groups. As you say drives you mad though, with the occasional laugh thrown in. I think my favourite was mixing a wizard and a warrior and getting a wizard and a worm.

Just completed 115 elements and 14 groups, dont think I could handle the extra ones on the iphone.Presumably the additional group is technology.

Thought I'd found a surefire hit mixing Alcohol with a Worm to make Tequila but no luck.

Well got the full 140 late last night, damn addictive thing. The extra group is indeed technology, computers, internet and such.

Me too, until it seems, we get to body language. Then, apparently, I'm a genius:whistle::drinkup::drinkup::drinkup:

I didn't need the test to know I am, but it helps to have it confirmed I suppose.

I thought number 4 was dodgy as the Mason's would be represented by the Square & Compasses but the Mason's Livery Company arms do have three castles as well as a square and compass. The others look ok, I suppose number 10 is debatable and they did get the right King in number 9 for a change.

I thought the Cock & Bull came from a pair of pubs somewhere between Oxford & Cambridge where students would meet and swap outrageous stories to outdo each other.

Just looked it up - it was Stony Stratford.

I think Number 2 is partly wrong- The Red Lion was associated with John of Gaunt who took it from his mother's livery (she was Phillipa of Hanoult) to use as his own simplified symbol.

Although there is a red lion in James I's arms, it is the red lion of Scotland, while pubs called the Red Lion were recorded before James's succession to the English throne in 1703. I think it's more likely that Englishmen would have celebrated the life of the late Queen rather than an unpopular Catholic-inclined foreigner (sorry, Jocks, that's how it was then).

Whoops, you surely meant 1603, and I think you may have mixed up James VI & I with his useless son and grandsons all of whom had Catholic sympathies, (Charles II and James II became RC, Charles II on his deathbed). James VI & I was well known as a rabid protestant, hence the Catholic plot to blow him up in November 1605. I think Soupy and I gave a long lecture to a bloke in a Derby pub on this very subject.
