A small but very tasty list,

Flowerpots Perridge Pale
Oakham OPA
Red Cat Mosaic Pale
Potbelly A Pigging IPA
Three Brothers Thai IPA

All cracking beers but going with Red Cat Mosaic Pale in top form in the top pub, The Wonston Arms (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/14200/).

A week much enhanced by the two great pubs near Derby Station :-

Brunswick Triple Hop 4.0%
Castle Rock Snowhite 4.1%
Truman's Blindspot 4.3%
Portobello Home Turf Pale 4.3%
Castle Rock Computer World 4.3%
Southwark Bermodnsey Best 4.4%
North Riding NZ Pale 4.5%
Mordue Workie Ticket 4.5%
ELB Nightwatchma 4.5%
Brunswick Rocket 4.7%
ELB Cowcatcher 4.8%
Enefield Iron Brew 4.8%
Castle Rock Mango Milkshake (keg) 5.2%
Marston's Old Empire 5.7%
Wantsum Overlord 6.0%
Brunswick Black Sabbath 6.0%
Bad Seed Storm Signal 6.0%

I'm going for the Castle Rock Computer World. This brewery has been around a long time and are noted for their old school beers. If I had tasted this one blind I would have guessed it to be a Salopian beer making it a change in direction for them. It was a discounted £3.00 in their Derby Alexandra. The Brunsiwick Rocket is a close second.

One or two crackers this week:

TT Landlord*
Vale Gravitas*
Marstons Old Empire IPA*
Oakham Bishops Farewell*
Blackpit Loosehead

All starred went down extremely well with BOTW going to Vale Gravitas in fine form at the Vale owned Chequers (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/2380/).

Some real quality on the southern Grand Union ,plus Potters Bar.

Timothy Taylor -- Landlord *
Vale -- Gravitas * (3PT)
Marston's -- Old Empire * (3PT x2)
New River -- Twin Spring
Truman -- Runner

The Gravitas was wonderful but BOTW goes to Marston's Old Empire ,on top form and taken in quantity in The Boat Inn (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/30251/),not for the first time.

Next week a Craft Beer Co. session but not much else planned.

Mine for the week gone by:

Blonde-I-Beach - Big Clock
EPA - Three Valleys
Hop Black - Wibblers
Mr. President - BrewDog
Scarborough Fair IPA - Wold Top
Moonstone IPA - Hadley
Landlord - Timothy Taylor's (not new to me but included for completeness)
Counter Currant - Rogue Ales
Farmhouse Table Beer - Cloudwater (taster)
Midtown - Beatnikz Republic
Yippee Pie Ale - Eagle (taster - probably something else rebadged)
High Tor - Buxton
Sonoma - Track (taster - not new to me)
Pavo - Squawk
Strait Jacket - Anarchy Brew Co (taster - not new to me)
Märzen - Cloudwater
A•W18 Brewed All Season Pale - Cloudwater (taster)
Wild Raven - Thornbridge
South Island - Saltaire (taster)

Beer of the Week for me would be Midtown by Beatnikz Republic, a 4.9% porter on cask at Pie & Ale (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/80346/). Lovely stuff.

Fixed Wheel - King Kelly 4.3% in this excellent micro Wheelie Thirsty (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/86722/) this stout was one of the best I've ever tasted. In fact this place was very difficult to leave, as the owner was a good chat and all of the beers excellent.

It wasn't that long ago that you didn't see much of the Beatnikz Republic beers, even around Manchester. Out of curiosity, how far away from home had it travelled when you had it?

It's getting about a bit these days then. I have to agree, all of their beers I have tried have been good.
