The George Ale House (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/60511/) in Great Missenden. A great resurrection of what seemed to be a lost cause.

I loved The Fox & Goose (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/40554/), Hebden Bridge, a lovely old traditional pub, now community owned. Great beer and a warm welcome. Just my sort of place

My dodgt knees have curtailed most days out but I did manage a short stay in Wigan in early February. This gave me a lengthy stop in Wigan Central (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/82614/) before getting the train back. It's not really a micropub but is a great place.

Right at the end of the month there was a clear winner for me, the Dove St Inn (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/35079/) in Ipswich. A contender for my top ten, if that list isn't confusing enough already.

The Bottle House (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/59126/)
Ok, it's more than a touch foody, though the welcome was warm and the beer good. But hey, it's my sole new pub this year to date.

The Market Ale House (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/81750/) proper friendly micropub in Leyland, and they don't mind you bringing in food from the bakery next door. Excellent

Couldn't decide between this one Coach & Horses (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/30284/) and the one above, both were top class
