Very poor week.

Mc Mullens -- Rivertown Brewing APA

and by default BOTW Mc Mullens Fisherman Ale ,a house beer and almost certainly rebadged Country Bitter in here. (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/15004/)

Next week equally poor until the footie hoves into view.

A very average week.

Northern Monk - Eternal.*
Blue Bee - Tempest Stout.*
Ilkley - Holy Raspberry.
Salt - Jute.*
Oakham - JHB.
Stancill - Blizzard.
North Riding - Cascade.
Great Heck - Patrick.
Five Towns - La Mure.
Empire - Porter.
Acorn - Old Moor Porter. (bottle)
Saltaire - Cascade. (bottle)
Mount St Bernard Abbey - Tynt Meadow. (bottle)

The Eternal was the comfortable winner, this week. I always have to try it, if I see it on the pumps, anywhere. Sampled, on this occasion, in The Hop (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/66330/), Wakefield. Finally got round to trying some Tynt Meadow (English Trappist Ale) and although it was good, I found it a little underwhelming, lacking intensity, for my palate.

BOTW Marble - Rainy Giraffe (can). A 6.5% melon India Pale Lager. Sounds bizarre but was tasty and refreshing.

Me too, I'll be sticking to St Bernardus, Westmalle and Orval.

Kent

Kent Brewery-KGB:4.1% abv.Peppery farmyard best bitter. In all honesty, this was more enjoyable than most of the bitters we drank in the 80s,once the accountants got to grips with things.
Goacher's-Special House Ale:3.8%abv. Fine,but lacked the earthiness I relish from Goacher's.
Indoors,I wasn't overly impressed with Adnams Mosaic Pale Ale.
My BOTW,Kent KGB.

A pathetic short list this week with just one day spent in pubs:-

Enefield EB 4.0%
Sambrook's Pumphouse Pale 4.2%
ELB Jamboree 4.8%
Windsor & Eton Conqueror 5.0%
Enefield London IPA 6.0%

I'll go for the Conqueror ahead of the Jamboree as tried for £1.99 at the rejuvenated Leytonstone Walnut Tree during the JDW January Sale.

BOTW Windsor & Eton Conqueror

Me too, I'll be sticking to St Bernardus, Westmalle and Orval.

I did wonder if it was just me, so it's quite reassuring to read that. TBH, I'm a bit of a Trappist tyro, so I'll make a note of those three and endeavour to try them over the coming months.
