A lot of good pubs visited in Manchester and Worcester last month, I shall go with The Marble Arch (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/26061/), Impressive, But an honarble mention must go to Ye Olde Mitre Inne. (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/14399/)

The City Arms (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/59965/)

There were so many fine pubs in Manchester that this is a tough decision, but this was my first visit here and certainly not my last.Special mention to The Falcon (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/61510/),a completely different kettle of fish in historic Fotheringhay.

There are two pubs I gave the 10 score to in October. The Yard Of Ale (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/82119/) is set in a sleepy suburb of Broadstairs and is a micropub that was formerly a stable.
The Trackside Bar (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/57298/) is by the platform of Bury Station on the East Lancs preserved railway. It's got a choice of twelve beers.
The micropub narrowly heads off the challenge from the Trackside Bar.
The good news is that Broadstairs has a fourth micropub which opened yesterday. This gives me an excellent excuse to return and not have to bother with any "proper" pubs which seemed to me to be a right load of rubbish.

As predicted by Aleandhearty,my POTM is The Cover Bridge Inn (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/58503/) I try not to honour it too regularly, but it really hit the spot on my visit this Monday. Knowledgeable guv, and timeless pub.Closely followed by Halfway House (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/53015/). A bit nearer home for us, but alas not as frequently visited.

I've a feeling I've been to that one in King & Barnes Ale Trail days. The last time (1990s) that I went to the Hopbine in nearby Petteridge I stopped somewhere else and if that was GBG listed at the time it would have been there.

It probably was-it's on the lane from Brenchley to Horsmonden. Halfway, geddit? Lies slightly below the level of the road,in an area known as the Isle of Wight. Grand pub, though I didn't know it in the nineties.

Kettering's Alexandra Arms (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/29954/) edged out London, W2's Victoria (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/22408/) in terms of welcome and beer range.
