Steady week,
Castle Rock Harvest Pale
Hop Back GFB
Upham Fields Of Gold
Triple fff Citra Sonic
Oakham Scarlet Macaw
Oakham Mandarina Bavaria
Farrs Chief Jester
Adnams Ghost Ship
Adnams Cucumelon
Wimbledon Copper Leaf
Sambrooks Pale Ale

Easy winner is Oakham Scarlet Macaw in good nick at a local pub beer festival here (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/59666/), although the Adnams Cucumelon on keg is an interesting and pleasant drink.

A modest week in the Essex/Herts border country.

Mc Mullens -- Rivertown Brewing Citra Chaos
Mc Mullens -- Country Bitter
Mighty Oak -- Jake the Snake *
Greene King -- Ale Fresco
Hadham -- 18ct Golden Ale

BOTW goes to Mighty Oak Jake the Snake, refreshing and quaffable in The Black Horse (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/14545/) while watching the Champions League Final. As a goalkeeper at school I had some empathy with the suffering.

Next week another crack at Banbury ,then a Friday in hipsterville.

It's just as well that I like Harvey's (i.e. Sussex Best, a lot) as that has pretty well been the diet this week on my perambulations in Kent and East Sussex...

Very quiet week with few pub visits and little variety.

BOTW Magic Rock Human Cannonball (can). The first time that I've tried Magic Rock's annual special editions. This is described as a West Coast IPA with "copious quantities" of citra and columbus hops. At 9.2% it certainly packs an enormous flavour punch with plenty going on including grapefruit and ginger as well as various spices which I couldn't identify. Overwhelming to begin with but quickly becomes dangerously drinkable. I'd like to try it on cask!

Kent.
Burning Sky-Plateau- 3.8%abv: Multi dimensional.Yum.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds')-No 3- 5%abv:Surprisingly, this was the first time I've drunk this from cask : pale 'n' spicy, chewy malt. On such a hot day, a bit heavy!
Romney Marsh-Marsh Mellow-3.6%abv:Rich gold,grassy,herbal hops.Summery.

All three beers in great nick, though the Plateau is my BOTW. Almost half way through the year, and no 5 star beers encountered. I usually meet 3 or 4 in the year.

Mobberley Brewhouse Taking The Pith. A 4.6% golden beer infused with pink grapefruit.

Very refreshing on a warm day in Liverpool, although I can see why some wouldn't like it.

Tried in The Hub (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/73375/)
