Hi all,

There was a thread weeks ago about pub tokens but I will start a new one anyway !!

My mother has found a couple from Quarry Bank pubs amongst some old coins and I thought someone may be interested in seeing them. I am no expert so don't take my word as gospel !!

The Rotal Oak was at the top of "The Bonk" opposite the church. It is now a butchers I think.

The Sheffield was in Sheffield street. I have been told it was demolished about 40 years ago.

If anyone knows of any pictures of these pubs I'd like to see them.

These tokens are little bits of history and i quite like them. I might try to get a few more....

Cheers,

Del.

Pub tokens have long gone, but have been replaced by 'beer vouchers'. They are widely available in hole-in-the-wall ATMs everywhere. :)
