This may sound very vague. I went to Bristol for the weekend, but, inexplicably, only visited two pubs. One was the Cottage Inn, down by the docks which was a wonderful hostelry.

The other was in what seemed to be parkland. There was no road to it. We drove down a tiny track to a small, rough car park above a river. On the banks of the river was a brilliant little 'boatman's' cafe or bar. It did real ales in barrels behind the bar and the usual tap stuff. We had a lovely meal and of course, I tried the ale.

However, I cannot for the life of me remember its name. It was something like Beezies, but I really don't remember. Can anyone out there help me?
