May 2010 saw a total of 148,000 visits to the site, so by far the busiest month of the year so far. That's not surprising because we get a bit of a boost from people looking for the many beer festivals that are held over the 2 bank holiday weekends.

The month was also well up on May 2009 when we had 125,000 visits. The increase is due to PuG starting to become more prominent in Google and increased usage of the Bing search engine (presumably due to a lot of TV advertising).

Activity for the month on the site was:-
4055 photos of 1379 pubs
1012 reviews added of which 470 were virgin reviews
335 new pubs suggested
485 map points corrected
429 web links suggested
167 new users joined
114 beer festivals suggested
119 pubs reported closed
17 pubs reported open

This compares to May 2009 when we had:-
2651 photos of 1223 pubs
291 reviews added
159 new pubs suggested
263 map points corrected
107 web links suggested
108 new users joined
188 beer festivals suggested

There were 1535 posts here in the forum during the month, which also compares rather nicely to the total of 6 last May.

It is going to be interesting to see how the World Cup affects things during June. Will there be more people visiting the site because they are looking for a pub showing the football or will people just know where they are going and so be at the pub rather than looking at PuG?!

I also suspect by looking at our forums that a lot of people will be on various holidays this month.
