downlands -dark life
and two contenders for BOTW were outstanding
lagunitas- 12th of never ale but there can only be one winner sadly
Brewdog-Elvis Juice drank in the Faraday Epsom

Two beers were particularly outstanding, Longdog Kismet 4.5%, just edged out by BOTW Vibrant Forest Castanea Dual Hop4,5%, both enjoyed today at the Hampshire Octoberfest (http://www.hampshireoctoberfest.co.uk/).

Not much expected next week.

West Sussex:old school.

Flowerpots-Bitter 3.8%abv.Delightful old school session bitter.Sweet biscuit at the start,resin to the finish. Guileless.A columnist in one of my farming magazines always bangs on about this,so I was pleased to see it.
Flack Manor-Double Drop 3.7%abv.Chestnut brown cooking bitter: malt led.Old school,without too much delight.

Some decent stuff with BOTW going to Heritage Brewing Masterpiece IPA ,a very complex,strong ,classic IPA from the National Brewery Centre in Burton and thoroughly enjoyed in The Swan,Fradley Junction. (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/34296/)

Next week not looking great.

A close thing with White Star only missing out due to the first couple being the last in the barrel. BOTW Heritage Brewing Company Masterpiece IPA Another vote for this deeply flavoured, 5.6% IPA. Excellent.

I'm going for the Fuzzy Duck Mucky Duck which came up a treat for £3.35 at the Bridge in Conwy. It's a lower abv stout with hints of coffee.
