It's started already - The Farmhouse (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/13559/) already has its Christmas tree up.

Just about sums up the establishment and its owners.

Have to agree with that comment, I have been in a couple of years back, not reviewed as walked out right again

First Christmas dinner email received from Marston's today trying to tempt me to a pub I got a free pint in. No chance.

Darlene Love's version of White Christmas heard at The White Hart (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/74810/), in Wytham, near Oxford amongst a varied muzak soundtrack (probably an iTunes library on shuffle). At least it's one of the better Christmas standards...

No Christmas tree but my first encounter with Xmas menus on every table ,surprisingly at Draft House Camden Road (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/22783/).Hipsters must believe in Father Christmas too !

The options included gluten free and vegan menus ,in the modern vibe.

The nightmare is fully under way. JDWs have the same old dross as every other year and a choir of kids were singing Xmas songs by Polegate station yesterday that nearly made me throw up on the spot. The only consolation is that I've got at least three chances of nailing down this year's Batham's XXX, finding Holden's Old Ale is a certainty and The E17 Rose and Crown will briefly have some Dark Star Imperial Stout on.

..and the real Black Friday for the cops and A&E departments - the last working Friday before Christmas - is also the last working day, making it as black as black can be for them and regular pubgoers. If I do go for a drink it will be about 11am and home by noon.

My local Asda, and I assume others, will be open 24 hours that day, so plenty of time to get some stock in
