I normally try to avoid dwelling on the negative side of things, but I certain hope that this is the worst pub I will have visited in 2017 (if you see what I mean): the Queen Charlotte (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/59096/) in Rochester's High Street.

To give you some idea, even Alan Winfield (who is an aficionado of the more down-to-earth type of boozer) was felt compelled to nominate it as "probably a good contender for worst pub of the year award" in 2015, and I don't think it's improved since then...

It's a little early in the year for this award, but like you I sincerely hope this (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/32666/) is the worst I encounter.

I suspect Ray and Quinno will be in full agreement .

Given there may be shit pubs in shit locations serving shit beer the fact that they are still open should be applauded IMO as they serve a community. I will go in any pub I find and as not looking for well kept ale I still draw the line at floating/sunk debris in a pint of lager that tastes like Glastonbury portaloos but it could be a bad day for them, unlikely I know, but I'm a sucker for benefit of the doubt and ticking a box however bad it may be.

I've only thrown up once as a result of a mass of debris in a glass after spotting it near the end of my pint and forcing my body into an odd involuntary action as a result it was in The Lamplighter (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/795/)
