Shame to see one of the "Frank Bailey" brewers (partly) go, though I didn't really go for their beers.

For me the rot began when they discontinued Well's Fargo and replaced it with the boring Bombardier. Fargo was their answer to the original Ruddlles County and possibly also GK Abbot being a similar strength and style. Does anyone else think their Banana Bread Ale is disgusting?

I tend to avoid all ales brewed in the Charles Wells Bedford plant,so lets hope Marston's can improve the situation. If it means more Marston's portfolio ales in Charles Wells tied houses this is surely a step up from the dreaded Bombardier and Eagle IPA.

I am surprised how little they have paid for these once iconic brand names. Are Marstons trying to create a monopoly of boring brown beers ?

Youngs + Wells = Whitbread MKII.

Divest the brewing, go into real estate.

The idea of a beer that tastes like bananas is so off-putting that I have never tried it.
