Hi all,
I will be doing Brentford later this month.
The Magpie and Crown and the Express tavern look good. Any others not to be missed ?
Del.

Sounds like one for London Calling to comment on , have to say the two you have picked out were easily the best of the bunch when I did a solo crawl of the area last June, thought the Watermans Arms (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/27441/) along with the Brewery Tap (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/27422/) were not too bad though.

Nope that's about it for Brentford.Use those two regularly.Across from the Express is the new built Fullers pub One over the Ait and to the left of the bridge are 3 pubs on the river that are decent. The Watermans Arms is now free of tie and the Brewery Tap are worth a look at.

Evening Del. To add to Moby and LC, I did some bits of Brentford early last year and was quite taken with The Griffin (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/27427/) which is one of the Griffin Park corner pubs (if you don't mind the walk). The three reviews on the site are a little dated, but seem to lean to the positive.

I will certainly do those 2 - especially as i am staying in the Premier Inn round the corner from the Watermans arms !

The Griffin does look good. It is the plan to do all 3 of the remaining pubs on the corners of the ground - shame the one has closed !

Lord Nelson and the Globe are a bit of a walk, but are almost next to each other.

Did them both as soon as I got off the train as I was quite close to them - I think I should have kept walking and not bothered with the match !
