Thanks for posting the links. Great read.

It was interesting that the developer was trying to point out that the pub made no profit, as an argument in favour of converting it to flats. The fact that he was charging the landlord £152 for a barrel of lager that could have been bought on the open market for £85 had probably escaped him.

Sadly all too common in London.The Goldhawk in Goldhawk rd w12 has been closed for about 2 years.On the next block a music studio which has the same size plot as the pub has been converted to flats.There are 12 flats with prices starting at £1.8 million.What chance has the pub of re-opening when it could be a goldmine for a property developer if he can get planning consent.
