Here we go again with March 2010 stats!

We had 137,000 visits to the site during the month, up from 129,000 in March 2009 and from 122,000 in the previous month of February 2010 (http://forums.pubsgalore.co.uk/showthread.php?1669-Friday-Stats-February-2010).

I had fully expected St Patricks Day to be the busiest day of the month but was wrong. Curiously Friday 12th turned out to be the best - I'll come back to that when I finally get round to doing a Google Search post that Conrad is pestering me about.

Activity on the site was:-
2,435 photos of 1,104 pubs
1,879 reviews added of which 938 were virgin reviews
301 new pubs suggested
422 map points corrected
536 web links suggested
171 new users joined
66 beer festivals suggested

This compares to March 2009 when we had:-
3,138 photos of 1,335 pubs
340 reviews added
308 new pubs suggested
364 map points corrected
358 web links suggested
140 new users joined
37 beer festivals suggested

Not surprisingly the number of new comments is down somewhat on February 2010 (http://forums.pubsgalore.co.uk/showthread.php?1669-Friday-Stats-February-2010), but nice to see it so much higher than last year still.

Last month we also introduced the new feature to allow members to report pubs as opened or closed (http://forums.pubsgalore.co.uk/showthread.php?1643-New-main-site-release)directly on the pub page, through that we had 96 reported closures and 14 reported openings.

As for the forums, there were 2,373 new posts, so once again a little down on last month but somewhat better than the 15 last year.

Finally while I think of it we have recently passed the milestone of having 30,000 pubs with photographs on the site, so a big thank you to everyone who has contributed towards that! :notworthy:

:

Dave , just to confirm my understanding. That was 2,373 new forum posts during the month of March 2010 compared to 15 in March 2009 ?

If so, I wish my salary would rise by that %
