Sediment allowance my arse. They are just funding their pointless two million quid rebranding and promotion of the rubbish stuff. What a load of liars they are!

Never underestimate The Trade for finding ways of rooking the customers, and each other too. You'd think it would be a simple matter for breweries to sell 36 gallon barrels of beer which contained 36 gallons of drinkable beer. And that publicans could find it in themselves to sell pints of beer that contain pints of beer.

Every so often it comes to a head, I won't bother with any puns, and government threatens to regulate them more. Inevitably there's a lot of bleating, pleas of poverty, jobs will be lost, and it all goes back on the 'too difficult' pile.

Which leaves us in a situation where of those 36 gallons - 288 pints - which nominally left the brewery, all 288 were paid for by the punters but maybe 15 or 20 never entered a human body, on account of either short measure or never actually existing in the first place.

The reason they can get more beer from the barrel is because more and more beer from the big regionals is bright beer and not as Camra thinks real ale. They are filtering it so when one firkin finishes in a pub the next one can go straight on so keeping their beer on the bar rather than someone else.
