Early submission as next weeks BOTW will be Estrella unless I'm very lucky. :(

Hand Drawn Monkey Smaller. Only 2.8% but still a hop monster.

Hadn't had it since they did a Meet The Brewer for us last year.

It's still great, tried in The Baun of course.

The surprise of the week was coming across a decent beer from the Milestone brewery. I thought their Classic Dark Mild was as good as any. The winner is the Brick Blenheim Black, a first time brewery for me tried at the Wild Card Brewery Tap. It's a fairly typical Black IPA.

An interesting range of beers this week helped along by an Easter beer festival at a local pub and the outstanding Woodfest at the Junction/Horse & Jockey*, Castleford where my BOTW was sipped rather than supped. No-one actually knows how strong it was either, I'm also not sure if the Centurion's Ghost was from wood or metal as the Duck & Drake had both available for a comparative tasting the next day.

Interesting, indeed. That reminds me, I haven't had an e-letter from Wakefield CAMRA for weeks. Must chase that up.

But which one? Blonde, Brown, Tripel, Royale, Ruby, Radieuse, Rituel 9°, Nectar or Christmas?

But which one? Blonde, Brown, Tripel, Royale, Ruby, Radieuse, Rituel 9°, Nectar or Christmas?

Good question. It was offered as the only alternative to eurofizz and no further information was available or given. It was though much appreciated at the time hence botw. I'd guess it was Blonde.
