An excellent week, not surprisingly dominated by the wander round York.

Bristol Beer Factory - Sorachi.
Junction 33 - Hop Monster.*
Roosters - Yankee.
Slaters - Smoked Porter.
Junction 33 - Thirst Aid.*
Half Moon - Hull Moon.

Dark Star - Hophead.*
Oakham - Citra.*
Great Newsome - Hops in the Spring.
Revolutions - House of Fun.
Half Moon - Stellar Oatois.
Half Moon - Dark Masquerade.*
Wold Top - Wold Gold.
Liverpool Organic - Quokkar.
Treboom - Yorkshire Sparkle.
Little Brew - Porter.
Atom - Blonde.
Saltaire. Blonde.
Thwaites - Symphonic.

Some very good beers amongst that lot, but in the end the Debaser just shades it from the Hop Monster.

Decent enough week with a lot of travelling around, yet sad the miss out on York.

Cerne Abbas -- Ale*
Raw -- Dark Peak Stout *
Raw -- Blonde Pale Ale*
Fuzzy Duck -- Thumb Ducker (spoonerism better than the beer )
Silhill -- Old Joint Stock
Timothy Taylor -- Landlord *

BOTW goes to a very good Raw Dark Peak Stout on fine form in The Old Cross Tavern.

Boat repairs done ,so moving through Hook Norton territory next week on the way to Banbury.Wish me luck;)

Another week dominated by the Spoons fest but with a visit to the only three Holden's pubs I hadn't been to :-

Olde Swan Original 3.5%
Holden's Black Country Mild 3.7%*
Holden's Black Country Bitter 3.8%*
Banks's Devils Backbone Spider Bite 4.0%
Exmoor Fox 4.2%
Rudgate Brew 11 Milk Stout 4.2%*
Holden's Golden Glow 4.3%
Phoenix Play It Again Sam 4.3%*
Twickenham Naked Ladies 4.4%
Greene King The Tanner's Jack 4.5%
Nottingham Salsa 4.5%
Wolf Lazy Dog 4.7%
Adnam's Golden Road California Breakfast IPA 4.8%*
Acorn Sovereign IPA 5.0%
Bateman's Lincolnshire Red 5.0%
Camerons Vermillion 5.0%
Vale SPA 5.0%
Wadworth Ye Ole Admiral 5.0%*
Holden's Special 5.1%*
Everard's Townshend's JCIPA 5.5%*
Salopian Indigenous 5.5%*
Inveralmond Rascal London Porter 5.6%
Shepherd Neame Cerveceria Fort English IPA 5.8%
Welton's Churchillian 6.6%*

The winner is the Salopian Indigenous which is described as a black IPA.. A black IPA is an idea imported from the USA so this is really an experimental brew to see if it works using just British hops. I thought the taste was reasonably OK but for me it lacked the hop aroma that the New World hops provide. Despite that it was a good effort from a brewery that I rate highly.
The nearest contender was probably from a brewery that I don't rate so highly the Wadworth's Ye Ole Admiral which was a strong pale beer with a superb bitterness.

Back to work on Wednesday after a week and a half off but will try to keep my levels up with a trip to London tomorrow.
