Thought I’d try something new and get a poll going for your favourite threads during March. Of course I have a vested interest with the Guinness and Gold Cup Blog but looking back there were quite a few good ones. Here’s a list of those I think were the best from a quick look through, apologies if I’ve missed one of your favourites but it’s just a bit of fun.

Man vs Food (http://forums.pubsgalore.co.uk/showthread.php?1888-Man-versus-Food) - started as a US TV programme report about an eating contest and took us through pancakes with maple syrup, 16oz steaks, Las Vegas buffets to the inevitable deep fried mars bars and a jumbo haggis supper with brown sauce from our Scottish friends.

The Who are the Most Useless Shower of B*astards Thread (http://forums.pubsgalore.co.uk/showthread.php?1838-The-who-are-the-most-useless-shower-of-b*stards-thread) - a late night rant by Conrad about his bus journey home that went on to football teams, Alistair Darling and RogerB getting barred for an obscure music joke before finally deciding that bus drivers weren’t such a bad bunch after all (with the exception of that one in Bristol).

Bloody Awful Beer of the Week (http://forums.pubsgalore.co.uk/showthread.php?1771-Bloody-Awful-Beer-Of-The-Week) - the countrywide search for a pint of Gael Rua that didn’t taste bloody awful. PuG despatched it’s finest correspondents to Rochdale, Edinburgh, Manchester, High Wycombe, Ipswich and Southampton but we still couldn’t find one.

The Guinness & Gold Cup Blog (http://forums.pubsgalore.co.uk/showthread.php?1663-The-Guinness-and-Gold-Cup-Blog) - St Patrick’s Day in Edinburgh and watching the Cheltenham Gold Cup in Manchester, what could be more natural. The diary of two PuG'ers in search of ebriety - and finding it.

The St Albans All Comers Challenge (http://forums.pubsgalore.co.uk/showthread.php?1735-The-St-Albans-All-Comers-Challenge-13-3-10.) - RogerB’s epic and entertaining report of a day in St Albans, with a mystery Foo Fighting Finn.

So there you have it, get voting, you may vote for up to three threads.

I have to admit that after a great deal of soul searching I'm voting for my own thread as I had so much fun writing it - actually writing it was a bit of a pain but living it was excellent fun :D. I've also gone for the Man vs Food thread (nothing like a bit of Yank and Jock bashing) and Roger's amusing and well-written St Albans report.

Guinness and Gold Cup. I loved reading the often humerous report about places I have been to.

Thanks for that Millay, well gathered and remembered.

I had to go for the Crawl threads, the sheer effort that must go into writing them and well worth it as well.

Have to go for the Guinness and Gold Cup thread as well having taken part in the crawl. Although I still feel that my leg injury never received the sympathy from my fellow crawlers that it warranted.

Will you stop moaning, we agreed to get a cab up that hill in Stockport didn’t we, and even let you pay. Anyway spare a thought for others, my avocado shaving gel ran out this morning, so I’m on the lookout for something nice in apricot.

More likely to go with my liver after all these excellent light hoppy beers I've been drinking recently
