I thought this suggestion below from AlanH was a very good idea for a thread on PuG.

As well as "What are you drinking ......................", it might be interesting to add "Where I am drinking it right now".
The person drinking it might be stood next to you at the bar without you knowing it! Or maybe at the pub across the road

So here goes, next time I'm out with my smartphone I will contribute :o

I am sat at a dining table in the middle room of our house with a lap top on with a pint of home brewed stout and Nottingham EPA to drink.

I wont reply to this thread again as i dont have a smart phone,my £9.99 phone from Argos is still too hard to understand how to work.

I'm in the Tap and Tankard, Sheffield. I should probably be enjoying one of the four Kelham Island brews on offer but I've opted for Great Heck Treasure IPA - a great modern Yorkshire brew. Will endeavour to get to the Rutland prior to my train home.

I liked it but not as much as the original I had recently in Chiswick. Its good that they have the confidence to try different versions of a classic beer.London Pride -citra or Youngs Special -cascade I don't think so.

All of them, to be honest - I was really impressed! The two that really stood out were the Farmhouse Red IPA and the Smoked Porter (both on keg).
Had a brief chat with one of the brewers who was very humble and quite self critical, saying that he hadn't had time to fine tune some of the keg beers they'd produced for the showcase - I certainly didn't find anything wrong with them.

When I tried the cask version of Farmhouse Red, I loved that slight tartness to the beer, which lifted the flavour no end. I've struggled with smoked beers in the past, particularly those of licking an ashtray strength, but have recently enjoyed some of the milder ones. Bridestones, for example, do a nice smoked porter, also. Will keep an eye out for the Black Jack version. Cheers.

The Goose! Blimey, what possessed you?
Mind you, I was in Green Dragon on Sunday and would have nominated a babotw if I could remember what it was. Replaced without a prob (clear but apparently end of barrel) but the next option of Tribute was utterly tasteless too. I gave up on that pint, drank the tasty accompanying half of coffee porter, and did one.

I wouldn't call MS Paint a graphics package but you can open a pic with it and press the Image tab when you'll see a rotate option and the top two possibilities from choosing that are rotate right 90 degrees and rotate left 90 degrees.

Made the Oakengates Golden Triangle but missed out on the Crown this time, due to the quality of Bathams Bitter in the Station and having to buy Mild :notworthy: as well. It's a long walk back to Wales if I'm late! No sign of Oggy or "Mrs" Great this time.

I have an English-Welsh dictionary and it's correct. The singular is moronen. Sadly in many cases it would be mutated to foron which is much less interesting. If the staff are Welsh and it appears that they are calling you a moron just reply "Pa'm wnei di sticio dy ben mewn bwced o gachu?".

Not right now, but a few hours ago I was enjoying a drink of Paulaner which was a nice drink in a beer garden in a services on a German autobahn. I did wonder what sort of cataclysm would unfold if someone suggested opening a beer garden, with a big sign saying "Beer Garden" at, say Charnock Richard. Or Leicester Forest East.

Maybe one of Boris's supporters should troll the idea to the Daily Mail, the ensuing fuss would drown out his domestic problems until well after his election.

Since the Cock Hotel got taken over by Joules this is my favorite pub in Wellington , Rowton Brewery have also taken over the Fighting Cocks in Oakengates and it is much improved since Hop and Staggers time there .

In the Albion next to Shrewsbury Station listening to loud Irish music. Presently playing The Fields of Atherenry. Now playing Kenny Rodgers. Drunken girls trying to kiss me thinking I am Kenny Rogers! Beer OK. Might stay a little longer!

At L'Enduro-Plage in Le Touquet, drinking the local(ish) Anosteké - all very different from Shrewsbury yesterday!

The Colmore (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/86905/) in Brum; the newly opened Pivovar / Thornbridge collaboration - still smelling of carpentry and glue, but doing good business and another very welcome addition to the central Birmingham scene.

It's taken a while but will be top of my "to do" list when next in Brum.

Drinking the lovely Oakham Citra in the Three Mariners and verifying that it is, indeed, still the best pub in Lancaster.

At home, with the benefit of a takeout in one of those strange folded containers from a last-minute dash to the village club before it closes its doors (hopefully not for too many weeks...).

Had my last pint in The Prince Alfred (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/22729/) last night and quite a party atmosphere. I didn't realise most pubs were closing at 8.00pm so looked for another but they had all closed on arrival.

What? Not even in a pub fabled for the quality of its draught Bass?;)

The Rhydspence Inn (https://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/59492/), a great-looking place, and once the subject of much controversy in this forum (when it looked like it would be lost for good, but thankfully very much still going). Also said to be the closest pub to the Welsh border (being the stream along the side of the garden, and something of an USP for the last few days) and claims to date from 1380 (which seems much more plausible than most such assertions).

I wasn't sure if it was on as no pump clip visible. Perhaps temporarily off...
