I love this seasonal thread. I doubt that my nomination this year will cause any controversy, it's the Bright Helm (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/54249/) in Brighton. I found just about everything about this place to be awful, which is a shame as I thought their Post & Telegraph nearby was pretty good apart from being packed.
I made the mistake of visiting a local pub with no reviews, so I can also offer a non-spoons contender the County Arms (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/25081/) at Highams Park in E4. It's not as awful as the Bright Helm but nevertheless is a complete waste of time.

A pub that took a me a lot of effort to get to and was so disappointing was The Warrant Officer e17.

That's more like it, a 1 out of 10 and it does sound horrendous.

I must have been feeling charitable when I gave it a '4' after my last visit in 2012, but its dubious charms seem - if anything - to have been enhanced over the last couple of years!

Ive been in some pretty crap pubs this year,including many estate pubs,the Star of the East in Limehouse was pretty crap,

but the one pub that stands out from the rest for being really crap is The Viper Rooms (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/43129/) no real ale,no customers,crap music,it seemed more like an 80s nightclub.
