Hi all
I'm looking for a list a map of all the pubs that are now closed!
Reason being is I'm considering renting a pub off the brewery in a few years time so long as the location is right
This is to cater to a different clientele then the usual general public
Thanks

You can see closed pubs by area on the Pubs Galore main site as long as you enable them to be shown.

Closed pubs are specifically excluded from the maps, mainly to avoid clutter but also because this is a site that seeks to promote pub-going, and you can't go to a closed pub, by definition!
The other difficulty you will have is identifying which pubs are closed by demolition, closed by conversion to other uses that preserve the building, closed but expected to reopen after refurbishment, or just closed and no one knows anything about them.
As Moby points out, if you have a particular area in mind, you can identify all the closed pubs there by clicking on either a postal town or an area within that postal town, and ticking the box marked "show closed pubs".
Good luck!

So not for the "general public", so for whom?
Sounds rather elitist to me, find your own pub pal.

Nice one.

Different clientele eh! Read into that what you will.

As pointed out, one of my local closed pubs is now a Tesco Express, other is a Morrison's Local, other is an ice cream parlour, one a local Co Op, another is block of flats, another is empty listed building
You will have a job finding out which is available or just vanished as pub

Well I have tried that and not much joy, cant see the link for "show closed pubs".

Is there another way round this?

An interesting business idea and good luck with it, but I think everyone on here would be more interested in a closed pub reopening as a pub.

If you want to see them all on a map together, try whatpub.com which has an icon "view closed pubs only", but this generally only shows pubs that have shut since that guide was started in the last 2 to 3 years.

I have had a look at the site and it gives you a search box to put something into it
do you know if it is posible to bring up all the pubs in the UK at once?
If you are considering a truck stop, have a look at Air Balloon (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/13535/)
Itis very close to the Channel ferry port, and at end of the M275
It is a listed building, and parking lorries would be problematic
But perhaps worth looking into
Strippers would be frowned on by council, who are busy trying to shut strip / lap dancing clubs
Thanks

For closed pubs, it will only show 10 at a time. Scroll down and click "more" and it will show the next 10 nearest to you start point and continues until it reaches a 10 kilometre maximum radius from where you started.

I like your thinking about the Channel ferry port next to the M275
But there is allready a truck stop in Portsmouth; weather it is any good or not I dont know as I dont realy go down that neck of the woods
But regards to parking for lorries; there is non! its not next to an industrial esate so the plan woud never work at all
The Admiral drake next to it has a car park that could fit about 20 lorries in; just enough for it to brake even though
I see your point on strippers though; yes fascism is back
