Went out last night and most of the beers were very good Had 2 bottled beers from a new London brewery Leftbank at a pop-up pub in E17. Very good beers. Sometimes the simple beers are the best.
360 Degrees-pale ale 3.9 was a corker and Botw

B.F, if you haven't already tried The Old Red Lion (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/24079/) , next door to Mansion House , I can recommend it, a very nice pub (Antic) with good beer.

A lacklustre week, (roll on Bristol),
Darkstar Hophead
Darkstar American Pale Ale
Gales HSB
Red Cat Prowler Pale
Clark's Classic Blonde
Thwaites Lancaster Bomber

The Prowler Pale was a nice pint and BOTW.

That's a good point,I was planning a quick visit next door to check out the ale line up and if by any chance Oakham fails to deliver ,we can carry on in the Old Red Lion.:nishelypished:

Apart from two and one of them was a Cottage beer it's all Spoons fest ales this week.

Banks's Mild 3.5%*
JW Lees John Willie's 100 4.2%
Bateman's Colonel's Whiskers 4.3%*
Cottage Victory 4.5%
Moorhouse's Black Cat Reserve 4.5%
Hook Norton Chinook Gold 4.7%
Oakham Great Gustav 4.8%*
Everard's Tiger Triple Gold 5.0%
Mordue Americana 5.0%*
Wadworth 10 Barrel OG IPA 5.0%*
Adnam's Sixpoint Brooklyn Bitter 5.5%*
Caledonian Trojan Horse 5.5%
Woodforde's Phoenix IPA 5.5%*
Bateman's Wicked Weed Freak Of Nature 7.5%*

It's a difficult choice here so I'll apply my rule of thumb when dithering over what to order, "when in doubt go for the strongest" Bateman's Wicked Weed Freak Of Nature. It was better for just £1.99 in the Chingford King's Ford than the N7 Coronet where I got charged £2.55 and then £3.30. I think I'll give the Islington area of London a complete miss from now on.
It's a Double American IPA with which Bateman's have done a fair job.

Decent week:
Porter Street Bravo Brit
Milestone Honey Porter*
Hopcraft Who's Been Sleeping in my Brain*
Salopian Darwin's Origin*
Kelham Island Pale Rider*
Marstons Pedigree
Blue Monkey Ape Ale*
Blue Monkey 99 Red Baboons
Blue Monkey Infinity*
Oakham Bishops Farewell*

Some very good beers there but despite Mr. Fastard's nomination above it's very difficult to look beyond the Ape Ale. So I won't
BOTW Blue Monkey - Ape Ale.

Very similar to last week, in that it was fairly quiet, but the quality of those tried was high.

Great Heck - Australasian Pale Ale.*
Mallinsons - Nelson Sauvin.*
Fernandes - Folklore.
Rat - Black Rat.
Oldershaw - Heavenly Blonde.*
Ossett - Brewers Gold.
Rat - White Rat.*
Rat - Ratsputin.*
Hardknott - Continuum.*
Two Roses - Sunrise.
Five Towns - Old Norrell.
Moorhouses - Black Cat Reserve.*

With an honorable mention for the Black Cat, the winner is the Nelson Sauvin. Lovely and complex for a 3.8% beer, with an almost wine like quality, which this hop is famous for.

A very late submission due to being away most of last week.

Box Steam Ground Pup wins it though, in the Baum of course.

A 5.5% American IPA named after a ballistic missile. Drinks to it's strength too.
