It's tempting to use a cliche about buses when describing the bevy of beer festivals running in Kirklees this weekend.
The Shepherds Boy in Dewsbury began its four-day Green Hop Beer Festival a few hours ago. The beer list is on our facebook page.
And earlier this afternoon the Navigation Tavern in Mirfield opened the doors on its Norfolk and Cambridgeshire Beer festival. We've already previewed its ale showcase on here (see earlier post here (http://www.aswiftone.com/2014/09/beer-list-for-navigations-festival.html)) but we've recently learnt three beers from Fox Brewery, of Heacham, Norfolk, have been added to the list. The festival will run until at least Sunday.
And if that isn't enough then The New Inn at Roberttown begins its Barrel of The Sexes Beer Festival tomorrow where seven brewers and seven brewsters go toe-to-toe in the ale stakes.
Mallinsons, Wilson Potter and Welbeck and others are representing the ladies while Abbeydale, Leeds and Eden are among the blokes the bar.
