The Leeds pub scene just seems to get better and better, with a handful of new openings on the cards. Flares (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/42842/) has been taken over by Sizzling Pub Co and is due to open very soon, as The Black Prince. Six ever changing guest ales are promised. A mere stone's throw away, Bar Censsa (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/42739/) is now in the hands of Taylor Walker and after a major refurb will reopen mid September as The Griffin, also promising real ales. The Northern Monkey (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/64394/) is also undergoing a major refurb, having been taken over by the people behind Tyke bar. Another real ale emporium is on the cards. Less specifically, Leeds Brewery are looking to open a new pub near the Minster. Finally, walking past Neon Cactus (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/70096/) the other day (previously The White Swan) a flyer seemed to suggest it was going to reopen as The Black Swan, which sounds like a traditional pub in my book. So, plenty to explore in the coming weeks!
