What does BYO mean? Because I always thought it meant Bring Your Own, in which case it's no longer a pub.;)

It does indeed, but I'm assuming that it refers to wine with a meal. I read about the change in the local press, and haven't visited yet. When I do (or, more likely, JW does) we may find it appropriate to mark it as closed.
