Have to admit I roared with laughter when I read this. Wasn't there some place in Greater Manchester, a couple of years ago, that fitted this to a tee? I think we joked about sending fearless Al10000 to review it.

Centurion Inn (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/29/) is actually quite a flat roof pub from my previous visit.
This is one I recall from younger times as not being so nice The Phoenix Members Club (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/37622/)

Have been past this many times and know the estate by reputation.
The Barge Pole (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/65312/)
Anyone visited the Barge Pole in Abbey Wood?

Here's one with a rather modest claim on its sign,

Jesus! Unless they're all shuttered, it doesn't even look to have any windows. Not the sort of place to wander into with an English accent, I'll wager...

That's confusing http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubpictures/80960/ and http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubpictures/49886/ appear to be the same bar but at opposite ends of Glasgow
PS Just checked, the single photo of Copeland Rd is actually of the Duke St one and the numpty has it in both places. Copeland St is a flat roof pub with an aversion to green as well.

I was with my best mate back in 1989 when we had walk round the outside of Rangers ground at about 7.30am and found that pub with its front door open,we had to go in and try and get a drink,we were greeted by a cleaner who said "what are you two doing in here at this time in the morning" we replied "door was open and can we get a drink" she replied "and you lot call Scottish people pissheads, you pair want a drink at this time of day,now piss off ".
We were pissed off at not getting a drink in this pub.
