Role OneLEAD BREWERAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Brewer to join the SWB team on a full time basis.
We are a very fast moving brewery now supplying keg, cask & bottled beer to all corners of the UK & exporting to over 15 international markets & growing!
Plans are beginning to take place for our move from where it all began in 2008 to new larger premises & brewery within the next 12-18 months.
The role will include:-
Brewing our established core beers as well as more experimental specials.
Maintaining the consistency & high standards that are in place.
Ongoing management/monitoring of raw materials & adjustments if necessary to ensure consistency of the beers.
Input on new recipes & product development.
Managing fermentations, recording gravities & dry hopping.
Completion of brewing & cleaning records.
Continuation of the brewery HACCP & Health & Safety plan.
Other duties include preparation of batches for packaging & packaging itself.
There will also be opportunities to attend events on behalf of the brewery both in the UK & abroad.
A suitable candidate should demonstrate the following:-
Previous commercial brewing experience required.
Industry qualifications desirable but not essential.
Must be able to execute set plans & work independently at times.
Troubleshooting, adaptability, flexibility & the ability to work under pressure are other key attributes.

Role TwoBREWERY ASSISTANTAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Brewery Assistant to join the SWB team on a full time basis.

Assisting in the preparation of Brewdays with the Lead Brewer.
Cleaning of the brewhouse, brewing vessels & bottling equipment.
Packaging of products in cask, keg & bottle.
Cleaning & preparing of containers.
Preparing orders including dispatch to online customers, direct delivery accounts & UK/Export pallet customers.
Experience working within a brewery is desirable but not essential for this position.
A full clean UK driving licence is preferable.
Adaptability, flexibility, initiative, ability to work under pressure & to deliver high standards are the key attributes we are looking for.
There is an excellent package for the successful candidate including competitive pay, funky orange wellies & other benefits.
