From my very limited knowledge of Welsh, I think "Y" means "The" and including it in the name makes it tricky to find in an alphabetical list. It is also not used on the pub sign so I suggest it is dropped:

NB - The same comment probably applies to quite a few pubs in Wales, so perhaps another answer is to discount it from searches and lists in the same way as done for "The" in English names?

Just put a note into my bugs system, I will look at this and get back to you.

Quick follow up. Had a look at the code and it was as easy as you would hope, so done the change and uploaded it.

Thanks a lot for that, an excellent observation.

Also as it was not on the pub sign I have corrected the name of Tair Pluen (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/56685/) as well.
