I really liked the Drapers Arms London n1. Been here twice and find it a relaxing pub with very good beer.

Can't separate The Inn At Farnborough (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/57950/) and The Craven Arms (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/37562/) in Birmingham - couldn't be more different, but I really enjoyed my first visit to both.

This should have been a doddle this month but it included a trip to Wolverhampton then Shifnal where the Plough (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/32166/) was a superb old place with interesting beers.
The Holden's Codsall Station (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/63314/) was a classic and of course the final destination, the Holden's Great Western (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/39188/) under Wolverhampton Station is an all time favourite. Add to that the new micropub at Petts Wood the One Inn The Wood (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/81932/) gives four potential winners any of which could win it in a different month.

HOWEVER, The Red Lion (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/59104/) at Snargate has to be the winner simply because as far as I know there is nothing else quite like it in the South East. Definitely one of my top 10 pubs of all time.

POTM The Red Lion at Snargate

Change of plan, POTM was here The Craft Beer Co Clapham. (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/24513/) , but an unexpected optune moment led to a brief visit to The Roebuck (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/27543/) on the last day of the month, an excellent pub and has eclipsed my initial choice, this is now my POTM.

Not a great deal to choose from this month. However, Firehouse (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/70840/), Sowerby Bridge was one of those bars where you enter with low expectations and come away pleasantly surprised.

Against a fair bit of competition, The Rat and Ratchet (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/40704/), Huddersfield takes the title this month. A comfortable and welcoming pub with great beer.

Rather than be boring and also nominate the Rat and Ratchet ,my POTM goes to another Huddersfield stalwart The Grove (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/40654/).It seems to be a marmite pub, with some respected reviewers less than impressed, but for me it delivered two memorable ales in fine condition .Their selection can be eclectic ,but they showcase some leading new wave brewers if that is what turns you on.

A few contenders for June. Really enjoyed the first two - highly recommended if anyone is in the area

Weavers Real Ale House (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/80471/) a sister pub to my POTM
The Woodcolliers Arms (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/42016/) would have been POTM any other time

My POMT is The Weavers at Park Lane (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/81654/) you could get very comfy here, cracking ale selection and the nicest cobs I've tasted this year!
