A poor week, only been to one pub all week (but many times), only two beers tried,
Darkstar Hophead
Weltons Blackcurrant Mild
The mild was good but wouldn't want more than a couple.
The Hophead started average but ended up very good,
So on that basis, BOTW is Darkstar Hophead.

Aqualung

A fairly average week for me :-

Banks's Mild 3.5%
Brewster's Hophead 3.6%
Stonehenge Pigswill 4.0%
Brewster's Aromantica 4.2%
Colchester Red Diesel 4.2%
Sambrook's Junction 4.5%
Titanic White Star 4.8%
Wild Card Queen Of Diamonds IPA 5.0%
Stonehenge Danish Dynamite 5.0%
Hopcraft Citraic 5.2%
Everard's Original 5.2%
Adnam's Publican Hoppy Ale 5.5%
Growler Essex Beast 6.2%

The winner has to be the Spoons latest American ale Adnam's Publican Hoppy Ale. What the difference is between this and an IPA or APA is unclear. It was in great nick at the E4 King's Ford at £2.35.

BOTW Adnam's Publican Hoppy Ale

Only went to one pub and that was for something to eat,so by default BOTW is

Sharp's --Doom Bar:o

Next week includes a trip to The Harp for a proper session.

Just the one pub for me as well, three beers though and all very good.

Oakham Bishops Farewell
Hop Back Red Admiral
Oakham Gangsta

BOTW Oakham Gangsta. A balance of Oakham's signature bitterness with a malty start. Whistled through the 3 pint test with consumption accelerating noticeably as it did so.

Pretty average sort of week, for me.

Rat - White Rat.*
Oakham - JHB.*
Mallinsons - Amarillo.
Ilkley - Lotus IPA.
Burton Bridge - Damson Porter.
Two Roses - Mosaic.
Five Towns - Grand Depart.*
4Ts - Stacked.
Studland Bay - Wrecked.
Stamps - The Russian.
Lymestone - Stonecutter.
Empire - Crusader.
Privateer - Dainty Blonde.
Brecon Brewing - Dark Beacons MILD.
Bosun's - Buxom Blonde.
Fernandes - Hopmaster.*
Empire - Robohop.

Some pretty dull beers amongst that lot and one or two not quite at their best. One thing that's a little concerning is the apparent nosedive in quality of the Lotus IPA. Last couple of times I've tried it, it's been barely recognisable as the same beer, with the flavours very muted. Anybody else noticed this?

The Hopmaster was the easy winner this week.

Better week, in the current drought, but I must learn that I can no longer manage four pints of an evening...
Tonbridge-Coppernob 3.8%abv: Old school, like I remember beer to have been when I first started drinking, but probably wasn't. Good.
Kent Brewery-Cobnut 4.1%abv.Dark and dry, autumnal.Quite liked this one:have found KB beers difficult to love.
My botw-Tonbridge Coppernob.

Brightside Odin tried in The Baum of course.

A well balanced blonde ale and only 3.8%. A great session ale.
