Not too many to choose from this month, but I was pleasantly surprised by The Crabtree (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/22657/), W6. Beer quality was excellent on my visit and it has a cracking riverside location.

Tough call between The Olde England (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/75432/) in Northampton and The Wild Boar (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/37375/) in Warwick.
The Olde England takes POTM on the basis of its imaginative use of a former shop, extensive (25) beer selection and support for local breweries.

The Plough (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/64464/), a great little pub on the Worcester crawl and a good place to linger a while.

Ive been in 39 new pubs in March, quite a few nice ones but this one was by far the best The Nags Head (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/67539/) unaltered with four seperate rooms and four real ales.

After my St David's Day trip to the Black Country this should have been an easy choice but it isn't. Of the two superb Batham's pubs visited I preferred the Lamp Tavern to the Vine brewery tap simply because it was fairly quiet. This was the reverse opinion from previous visits in the distant past.

Despite the grief with the footbore resulting in having to clamber over a dual-carriageway to get to the Great Western (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/39188/), this is still one of my top ten pubs of all time and so has to be my pub of the month. I wonder what they charge for the amazing lunchtime Pork baps nowadays.

The Ashton Arms (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/12907/)

The best pub in Oldham, no matter what the local CAMRA branch say.
