Just released this morning. Now you can view the streets virtually everywhere in UK. I just had a look at my street.. doh! I left my windows open while out (maybe on pub crawl..) :o

Excellent tool for browsing pubs.

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

That is actually quite irritating.

I was planning on doing the review code next as it seriously needs a rewrite, but equally if they have sorted the coverage out it is tempting to push this into our system properly (http://forums.pubsgalore.co.uk/showthread.php?526-Streetview&highlight=streetview).

Thanks for the heads up Hoppy, although I am now going to be mulling over which old out of date code needs to be fixed first. :moremad:

Ha. My street still excluded. The only one in the area, but as it's a cul-de-sac with parking issues maybe that's why.

Looked up my family home where I lived from 4-20. I actually found it rather emotional, especially as the drive contains a large white van AND a black cab.

Standards do fall!!

It is not very up to date. A hedge in our back garden on the map was removed about 2 years ago and replaced with a fence about a year ago.

Useful for pub viewing I agree though.

The pictures of my street were taken at the end of summer 2008 as the dead plants in my failed attempt at gardening are visible for all to see!

Beautiful spot by Dave this.

We have a report that The Meyrick Arms has changed its name to The Peacock, so Dave decided to check it on Streetview (not reliable, but can help).

So: Google Streetview (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=SW11+2LW&sll=53.789206,-1.566689&sspn=0.010027,0.019205&gl=uk&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=London+SW11+2LW,+United+Kingdom&ll=51.466133,-0.16928&spn=0,359.980795&t=h&z=16&layer=c&cbll=51.466199,-0.169373&panoid=77gmoLWUzqpaTsJpECKE8A&cbp=12,185.04,,0,8.62)

Once you have the streetview up, click on the road to move towards the pub :).

Those Welsh builders don't hang about. Look at this image from Google Streetview (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=rhyl&sll=51.65677,-0.397557&sspn=0.00221,0.008454&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Rhyl,+United+Kingdom&ll=53.319941,-3.491035&spn=0,0.008454&z=17&layer=c&cbll=53.319871,-3.490919&panoid=hQ3FROkrsjgQRqpKfb1ZEw&cbp=12,307.23,,0,5) and note the scaffolding on the building on the left. Then advance up Queens St and see what happens.

You don't need to go that far. In the first image the building on the left is covered in scaffolding. Take a single step up Queens St and magically it has all disappeared.

That is not without its irony. My brother who was with me in the Baum and Regal Moon was down for the weekend from Newcastle.

I don't blame him. I love Newcastle in midweek and used to work there.

Hated it at weekend as it was full of complete numpties, even the good pubs.

Yep did all those except Strawberry as the Toon were at home to Blackpool.

It was impossible to even get into Bacchus or Centurian on Saturday night !!

It'll be midweek next time we go!!
