Here's a photo I took in Lichfield recently: a mirror whose frame appears to be made of twigs! :twigs:

I know the pub and the frame well - having been born in Lichfield. At least there were no little fairy lights on them!

On the subject of twigs, see also my recent review of The Exeter Arms (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/7072/) in Derby. :twigs:

Coincidentally, I've just given you a mention (while at the same time dissing ROB Camra - with tongue in cheek, of course) here (http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/34227/). Hope he doesn't come gunning for me.

Palimpsest! I had to look that one up. A bit like the "Enrich your word power" section in Reader's Digest my Nan used to get me to do when I was a kid.

Show-off. :notworthy:

Please don't tell me the hallowe'en band were already playing, at least a couple of days before the nightmare actually happens? Urghh!
I've booked a table at my fav restaurant tonight to avoid door-knockers, although I feel a bit guilty leaving the dogs to cope.
Previous notices indicating that we are NOT American and don't knock & disturb the dogs have generally produced V-signs etc. Little charmers!

Well, they were playing a rock version of 'Goodnight Irene' in shirts covered in fake blood, so if they were not Halloweening it, they were either Bristol Rovers fans or Harlequins rugby players!

Everyone else was dressed-up too, it seemed - apart from me that is.
