Like a bat out of hell, we are back with news of yet more beer festivals.
The ink had barely dried on the Oktoberfest preview when we learned of two more ale showcases.
First up at the end of the month is The Rat and Ratchet's Hallowe'en Beer Festival, which promises 45 beers from Thursday, October 31 to Sunday, November 4.
I haven't seen a beer list as yet - just teasers to keep scanning the Chapel Hill pub's facebook and twitter accounts.
Some will be Hallowe'en themed, so expect plenty of Rat puns and, as the flyer states, some "spooktacular" ciders and perries.
Next is an all Wakefield breweries affair at the Old Vic, Manor Road, Ossett between November 21 and 24.
I guess we've all see plenty of local produce pitched together at CAMRA festivals but the temptation is often to try out of area beers you can't get for the rest of the year. This festival, which is named after the Wakefield CAMRA magazine, removes that beer wanderlust and keeps you strictly within the limits of the Merrie City.
It features all 12 breweries in the Wakefield CAMRA district.

Until a few years you might have struggled to have named five Wakefield breweries. I think I would've just made it with Ossett, Fernandes, Clark's, Red Lion/Bob's Brewing Co and Tiger Tops.
But since then the district has really bought into the micro brewery explosion. Along have come Five Towns (2008), Revolutions (2010), Malthouse and Hamelsworde (2012), Bosun's Brewery and James and Kirkman (2013).
The one that eluded me - and the one I had to google - was Outgang/Thomas Elstone at Kinsley, which began test-brewing in 2011. I can't say I've sampled any of their beers.
Perhaps a trip to Ossett next month will sort that.
