A good Selection this week with lots of contenders but neither of the Dark Star brews make it as they weren't in that good nick.

Tap East East End Mild 3.5%
Butcombe Bitter 4.0%
WJ King Brighton Best 4.0%
Brentwood Best 4.2%
Oakham Citra 4.2%
Great Newsome Pricky Back Otchan 4.2%
Thwaite's Crafty Devil 4.3%
Milk Street Zig Zag Stout 4.5%
Dark Star American Pale Ale 4.7%
Black Sheep Golden Sheep 4.7%
Dark Star Sunburst 4.8%
Wadworth / Chelsea Sunset Red 5.0%
Brodie's Old Street Pale Ale 5.0%
Bingham Doodle Stout 5.0%
Hawkshead Cumbrian 5 Hop 5.0%
Adnam's / Sixpoint Bengali Tiger IPA 6.4%
Brodie's Oyster Tea Stout 7.0%

Despite strong claims from the mild, the other two stouts, the 5 Hop and the Bengali Tiger, it has to be the Oyster Tea Stout at £2.50 in the Leyton King William IV. I've only had this on keykeg before and I have to say it is much better on cask. There is no sweetness to it at all so you would never guess the 7% ABV.
It sailed though the three pint test.

Only a few beer this week but
The Kernel -pale ale mosaic would win most weeks anyway.
Don't think I have had a bad beer from this brewer.
no.1 brewer in Uk imo.

Mc Givern -- Pyramid Porter

Hope not literally.

Managed to stay upright and avoided falling asleep in my curry. Having a week off to recover.

Better week:
Darkstar-Hophead 3.8%abv. For my money, the best of the extreme pales. I like a bit of flavour, not just hop tea.
Goacher's -Silver Star 4.2%abv. Sweetish stone fruit. Long hop finish.
Goacher's Dark ale aka Original 4.1%abv."Goacher's for the Goacher's drinker." Dark, chocolatey and luscious.
These three taken at the five Bells, Brabourne, Kent.
Timothy Taylor-Landlord 4.3%abv. Bittersweet with long dry finish.A bit creamy. Welby Arms,Allington, Lincs.
Westerham-Grasshopper 3.8% abv Darkish ,hoppy bitter.
Westerham-Summer Perle 3.8%.Crisp,spicily hopped golden ale. These 2 at the Weald of Kent Ploughing Match beer tent, on gravity dispense.

Given that the Goacher's Dark has already been my botw this year, and will undoubtledly be my beer of a lifetime, my nomination for BOTW is Westerham Summer Perle

A good week boating with Mr Fastard and crew:
Rat King Rat
Black Jack Royal Flush
Salopian Boomerang
Town Mill Black Ven
Three Tuns XXX
Stonehouse Cambrian Gold
Jennings Crag Rat
Stonehouse Station Bitter
Offa's Dyke Grim Reaper
Monty's Old Jailhouse
Leeds Yorkshire Gold
Marstons Wakatu Single Hop
Downton Honey Blonde
Oakham Bishops Farewell

The first four were all excellent and all sampled at the outstanding Bhurtpore Inn. The Cambrian Gold though was poor and may well find its way to BABOTW.

The Royal Flush was, as BF has noted, excellent but as it's been noted my BOTW goes to Rat King Rat. No explanations needed for A&H but for those who haven't tried this marvellous pint, it's pale, bitter and deeply moreish at 5%.

I expected a Friday trip around Manchester would probably throw up!! the BOTW, but despite a couple of contenders it didn't

So it's going to have to be Arbor Hoptical Delusions 3.8% and very drinkable, but also hoppy. Tried in The Baum of course.
